GTA 6 Screenshots: 39 New Images in Rockstar’s Launch Gallery

Rockstar Games has shared 39 new GTA 6 screenshots in a Launch Gallery on its official website, exactly two weeks before the game arrives on November 19, 2026. The new images show Jason Duval, Lucia Caminos, Vice City and the wider state of Leonida, and they are the biggest single batch of screenshots Rockstar has released since the game’s official site relaunched.

The gallery went live on Wednesday, November 5. Rockstar’s short Newswire post said only that the game is “now officially only two weeks away” and pointed fans to the new images. There are no captions on the screenshots, so story details and mission names stay hidden until launch — but the pictures themselves say plenty about the world players are about to enter.

What the 39 new GTA 6 screenshots show

The set is grouped by subject. Vice City takes the biggest share, with 15 images of the city and its people. Nine screenshots feature Jason Duval, four feature Lucia Caminos, and seven show the two of them together. The rest take players out of the city: two images from Grassrivers, the swampy wetlands region, and one each from the Leonida Keys and Port Gellhorn.

The images cover the full range of the game. There is a Fleeca bank robbery, armed getaways, high-speed chases, crowded nightclubs, dockside dive bars, police raids, car meets, a scuba dive and quiet sunsets over the Leonida countryside. One shot that caught a lot of attention shows Jason in a firefight near a hangar, with a German Shepherd in a tactical harness behind him.

Every image is a native 4K still, 3840 by 2160 pixels, and Rockstar offers them as free downloads from the gallery page. The count of 39 comes from the file names Rockstar uses for each image. Some outlets counted slightly fewer at first — between 35 and 38 — because the gallery page is awkward to scroll, but the file names settle the grouping, and the breakdown above adds up to 39.

The new batch continues the gallery Rockstar has been building all year. It picks up exactly where the existing People and Places galleries left off, with Vice City images numbered 13 through 27 and Jason images numbered 11 through 19. Before this drop, the official download hub already listed 99 screenshots. With the Launch Gallery, the total stands at well over 130 official stills, alongside the two trailers and the Extended Look gameplay presentation.

GTA 6 release date and platforms

Grand Theft Auto VI launches on Thursday, November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The date was set in November 2025, when Rockstar moved the game back from May 26, 2026, and as of November 6, no new delay has been announced. Rockstar repeated the date in its Launch Trailer on October 15, and the Launch Gallery ends with the line “See you in Leonida on November 19.”

Both the second trailer and the Extended Look gameplay presentation were captured entirely in-game on a PlayStation 5 — the Extended Look on a base PS5 rather than a Pro — so the screenshots are a fair guide to how the game will look on console.

Pre-load starts November 10 — clear 212 GB

The next date for players to mark is Tuesday, November 10, when digital pre-loading opens on both consoles. Rockstar moved the pre-load forward from its original date, so players who bought the game digitally can download it early and be ready for launch day.

On PlayStation 5, pre-loading begins at midnight local time on November 10. On Xbox Series X|S, it starts at 12 a.m. GMT on November 10. Code-in-box physical copies can pre-load from November 12.

The download is a big one: about 212 GB, depending on the console. That is the space players need free on their hard drive before the game unlocks at midnight local time on November 19. In the United States, that means American players will be among the last in the world to start playing, because the unlock rolls around the globe by local time.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?

No PC version of GTA 6 has been announced. Rockstar lists only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and there is no PC edition to pre-order on Steam, the Epic Games Store or the Rockstar Games Launcher. No system requirements have been published, and Rockstar has shown no PC footage or settings.

That has not stopped the speculation. On October 13, GamesBeat reported that Rockstar plans to release GTA 6 on PC within the first three months of 2027, citing four industry sources familiar with the studio’s plans. Rockstar has not commented on that report, so for now it is a report, not a date.

Take-Two chief executive Strauss Zelnick has said only that Rockstar has announced the game for console only so far, and that the company’s general strategy is to launch over time on platforms with a meaningful audience, with PC becoming more and more important to its business. He gave no date when asked at Take-Two’s annual shareholder meeting on September 17.

There is one more reason the PC wait may be shorter than usual. Obbe Vermeij, a former technical director at Rockstar North, told Rock Paper Shotgun that Rockstar may worry about unofficial PC ports built from the PS5 version with the help of AI, and that this could push the studio to release an official PC version sooner. Again, that is one person’s view, not a Rockstar announcement.

For PC players, the practical advice is simple. Treat any “GTA VI PC key” listing as unofficial, since no PC version has been confirmed. And if you own a PS5, you can already stream your console to a Windows PC with Sony’s PS Remote Play app — the PlayStation Store listing confirms Remote Play is supported.

What to do before November 19

If you have pre-ordered the digital edition, set aside time on November 10 to start the pre-load, and make sure you have around 212 GB free. If you are buying a physical copy, check whether your retailer offers a code-in-box edition, which can pre-load from November 12.

The Launch Gallery is the last big look before launch. After two trailers, a gameplay presentation and more than 130 official screenshots, there is very little left that Rockstar has not shown — except the game itself. Two weeks from now, players will finally get to see Vice City for themselves.
